Each job is assigned to a pay range, which is updated periodically to reflect market trends for comparable skills. In addition to standard compensation, Stanford Health Care offers various incentive and special pay programs for eligible employees. These include:
Annual performance-based bonus for managers+

Our core benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, an employee assistance program, savings and spending accounts, disability, life and accident insurance, and COBRA. For medical insurance, you have the choice of three generous health plans through Stanford Health Care Alliance, Aetna, or Kaiser Permanente. Each plan includes 100% coverage for preventive care, telemedicine through Teledoc, prescription drug coverage, and behavioral health coverage. Additional incentives exist for healthy choices.
We help employees save for retirement by offering a plan that includes both employer and employee contributions for eligible employees. Our employer contribution includes a basic contribution of 5% of salary that you receive no matter what you contribute. We also provide an employer match contribution of 4-7% of salary, based on your years of service. You can choose from a variety of investment options through Fidelity Investments to make your hard-earned dollars go even further.

Our generous time off ensures our employees get the rest and relaxation they need. In addition to legally-mandated leaves through the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the state of California, employees are awarded paid time off based on their years of service and hours work, ranging from 26-30 days annually. Your paid time off accrues into a single pool that can be used for vacation, holidays, illness, family emergencies, religious observances, and other absences.

We offer tuition assistance and scholarship program to help you pursue professional development offered by other institutions. Employees also have access to Stanford University's Continuing Studies program. Full-time employees are eligible for $2,000 per fiscal year for tuition assistance, pro-rated for part-time employees.
Stanford Center for Education and Professional Development
The SCEPD is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. This center runs continuing programs for our nurses to hone their skills.
Stanford Health Care Leadership Academy
We established our six-month leadership academy program to foster growth, development, and success of our organization's leaders. Our academy mixes theoretical and hands-on training from experts inside and outside our community.
