Administrative Fellowship Overview 

The Administrative Fellow Program at Stanford Health Care is a paid, one-year post-graduate experience designed to immerse individuals in healthcare leadership. This project-based program provides a unique opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge gained from graduate studies to practical experiences within the hospital setting, contributing to the growth and development of future healthcare administrators.

Experiences and Opportunities

  1. Mentorship Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Vice President, Chief Patient Experience and Operational Performance Officer, Executive Leaders, and Senior Managers to foster professional growth.
  2. Meeting Participation: Attend and observe meetings at various organizational levels, including executive meetings, daily huddles, management forums, and departmental meetings.
  3. Departmental Engagement: Visit key hospital departments and observe meetings with strategic partners to gain insight into strategy, workflow, problem-solving, and relationship development across the organization.
  4. Project Development: Engage in or lead projects related to:
    • Network and program development
    • Leadership intiatives
    • Strategic clinical and master planning iniatives
    • Patient experience
    • Digital health
    • Health equity
    • Business development
    • Process improvement
  5. Professional Development: Engage in unique professional development opportunities with access to leadership courses, conferences, process improvement training, and fellowship events.
